Fedor Lazutin Workshop ~ October 25-26, 2014 ~ Rockbridge, MO

We are so happy to bring to the U.S. one of Europe’s leading natural beekeepers and founder of Russia’s largest honeybee conservancy. This one-time opportunity is a full two days of mind-boggling information, inspiration, and fun!

Fedor Lazutin, author of Keeping Bees With a Smile: A Vision and Practice of Natural Apiculture, presents a comprehensive 2-day Natural Beekeeping workshop on October 25-26, 2014, at the scenic Rockbridge, Missouri.

An experienced beekeeper with over 100 horizontal hives, Fedor Lazutin heralds the gentle approach to keeping bees. He never feeds his bees sugar, does not treat against disease or parasites, makes no splits or requeening, and avoids many other complexities and expenses of modern beekeeping. He brings back the millennia-old tradition of laid-back beekeeping where the keeper’s primary tasks are limited to providing bees with an ideal habitat, and harvesting surplus honey once per year.

The event host will be Dr. Leo Sharashkin, beekeeper and editor of Keeping Bees With a Smile and a myriad of other internationally-acclaimed books on organic growing and Earth-friendly living.

The program includes a visit to Dr. Leo’s nearby apiary where bees are kept naturally in a variety of extra-deep horizontal hives. See the Lazutin hives in action and how his approach can be practiced in the U.S.!

Beginner beekeepers – or those just contemplating having bees — will receive a robust working understanding of all aspects and options of the natural approach. Experienced beekeepers – from backyard hobbyists to commercial – will discover a swath of ideas that can be applied to their existing operations.

Through many photographs, videos, and stories, discover Fedor’s beautiful permaculture homestead and apiaries... without the expense of overseas travel.
